Champagne Gruet is located in the heart of the Côte des Bar, the southern part of the Champagne region. Between the Aube River and the Seine, from Bar-sur-Aube to Bar-sur-Seine, lies over 8,000 hectares of vineyards with millions of grapevines.
The craftsmanship of these winemakers has been passed down for generations. This is evident in the plots of land that still bear the names "Bas Gruet" and "Sur Gruet," in the neighboring village of Neuviille-sur-Seine. This tradition reached a peak when Claude Gruet began making his first Champagnes in 1975.
Today, Claude Gruet and his wife share their love for viticulture and Champagne with their son Pierre-Charles. In this landscape of water, forests, and perfectly situated slopes, Claude and Pierre-Charles cultivate the noble grape varieties that this region is rich in: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, Pinot Blanc, and Arbane.
