Champagne Charles Ellner is located in Epernay, the very heart of the beautiful Champagne region. In the early 20th century, Charles Emile Ellner, the founder of the House, started with buying small vineyards in the surroundings of Epernay, in the meanwhile working as a “riddler” at a well-known Champagne House.
This is when his adventure in the world of Champagne began...
Charles' independent nature and great passion for Champagne, not only inspired him to plant his own vineyard but also to vinify his own Champagnes. Then, little by little, he started to sell his production to private clients.
Since 1905 till now, Champagne Ellner has been an independent family Champagne House led by Jean-Pierre Ellner, third generation and grandson of the founder of the House. Now, the fourth generation, with his daughters and nephews, are also involved in the Champagne House.
In 1985, the production site, storage and offices were merged in a elegant building in Epernay. In 2013, the winery in Pierry was also added to this.
