The Musée Champagne Famille CARBOT is a family-run business, welcoming you to a listed building in the heart of the city of Châlons-en-Champagne.
On the ground floor of the museum, the journey back in time begins. You can imagine yourself at the bottom of the Baltic Sea, where, 170 years after a shipwreck, divers discovered intact bottles of champagne and brought them to the surface!
Upstairs, you can immerse yourself in the beauty of the Champagne terroir, following the birth of a bunch of grapes through the 4 seasons of the year.
More than 500 viticultural and winemaking tools reveal the secrets of the bubbles, the aromas, the work and the know-how of the winemaker, and the aromas follow us from the oenological area to the tasting room.
Here, the journey through the different terroirs of Champagne celebrates the senses and the pleasures of tasting the Carbot family vintages.
