What is Champagne?
It's always Champagne time!
"Champagne is the one thing that gives me zest when I'm tired." – Brigitte Bardot
Champagne is a sparkling wine which is exclusively produced in the Champagne region by the regulated Méthode Traditionelle. Only wines that are made by this procedure and grown in this area are allowed to carry the name Champagne.
Champagne is the ultimate celebratory drink and is often drunk on special occasions like birthdays, weddings, to applaud achievements and acknowledge milestones. But also on a less memorable moment, for example after a divorce it can brighten your mood.
You can drink Champagne as an aperitif, accompanying your meal or just on a normal weekday when you are in the mood to drink Champagne. A large part of the appeal of Champagne is due to the bubbles that spill forth when the bottle is uncorked.
